We’ll be featuring new, unsigned bands exclusively on this page. If your band is accepted as a House of Hair Future Star, you’ll get mentions on our weekly House of Hair syndicated show, be featured prominently on our website, and, you’ll be able to get your music and band information into the hands of both active listeners and A&R leaders in the music industry.

How to Participate

Just add your band to our HOH Future Stars Community!

Here’s How:
1. Join the HOH Community, making your username = BANDNAME.

2. Make an .jpg or .gif image of your Band Logo, sized 160px by 120px, and upload that photo as your “portrait” photo screenshot. You can do this later if you don’t have your logo ready when you first join up. ***

3. Once you’ve joined, log in, and click on “MyHome” in the top menu bar.

4. From the submenu that appears, click on “Edit Account”.

5. From the next submenu, click on “Edit Profile”. Here you can fill out the “About Me” sections, fill in your band’s website URL, etc. Be sure to save when done.

6. Now go to the top Menu Item, “Groups”.

7. Click on the Group, “FutureStars”, and then click the button on the left top side, “Join this Group”. When you upload each item, be sure to check the “Add to Group: Future Stars” — if you don’t check this box, your media WON’T appear in the Group and won’t get displayed on our Home Page Widgets for Future Stars.

8. Join any other Groups you think are interesting/relevant to your band.

9. Upload info about your Band! You can upload Videos, Music, Photos and Text (i.e. blog posts, press releases, band member bios, etc.). When you upload each item, be sure to check the “Add to Group: Future Stars” so your media will appear on the Group Page and will get displayed on our Home Page Widgets for Future Stars.

Making the Most of our HOH Headbanger Community

1. Create a short 2-3 minute video about your Band, or product. Be sure when you upload it that your Band Name is the First thing in the Title — “MyBandName - Bio and Info” - so that it can easily be seen in the widget title displays.

2. Upload Bios and Photos of your Band Members. Do one Blog Post per Band member, titling them, “John Doe of MyBandName”. You can attach photos from either your community profile or from your hard drive to your blog post either using the handy HTML editor within your post (click on the icon “Add Photo”) or live or prerecorded audio or videos by clicking one of the top buttons:

3. Add keyword “Tags” to all your media — you can do this anytime, so no worries if you didn’t get them in on the upload. Also, our Community software pulls the words out of titles and makes them keywords, so if you do remember to put your Band Name always in any title of anything you upload, you don’t have to add it again in Tags.

Just go to “MyHome” >> “MyMedia” >> Find the media item, and click “Edit” then add your Tags. Separate tags with quote marks NOT commas.

***Remember that photos and video you upload must go through our moderation system and be approved before they go live. We try to clear stuff multiple times a day, and you’ll get an email when your media goes live.
