I’m entering this contest as a birthday surprise for my husband, John “Ozzy” Millard and his sister and best friend, Jo Ann. They are heavy metal heads from the 80′s – used to hang out at L’Amours in NYC. They stay true head bangers to this day, even into their 40’s, and party way heartier than most 20 year olds. John rocked the heavy metal long hair for years, even after working his way up from messenger boy to Associate on Wall Street. Finally, he cut the hair, but did not cut the nickname of Ozzy. My husband would do anything for anyone. He’s a hard working guy who brings home the bacon and supports me and our twin daughters. He never complains, and he always keeps an upbeat spirit. He always thinks first about his family and friends, and never does anything for himself! He hasn’t been to a heavy metal show since I bought him Judas Priest tickets ages ago when we were dating, but he’s taken me to see my favorite bands several times. I know it’s not where his heart is, but he does it because I am where his heart is. Winner and guest will have to sign legal disclaimers. Major rules include:

PHOENIX – Rocker and HOH friend Bret Michaels has been released from the hospital where he was being treated for a brain hemorrhage. Dr. Joseph Zabramski said Michaels “is just one of those lucky people” and that “he’ll make a complete recovery”. He also said that he is one of the approximately 20% of people who may go back to leading normals after a hemorrhage like this. Close to 20% of people die each year after suffering this type of brain injury.

Zabramski also went on to say that Michaels “can walk but he’s not walking very well.” Although his speech is back, Bret is said to still be experiencing severe back pain and muscle spasms. Bret, who is 47, is receiving therapy and will probably continue to suffer from severe pain for another seven to 10 days as blood pooled under his brain dissolves. Michaels’ diabetic status limits the options available to him to ease discomfort.

Michaels may have an angel looking over his shoulder as he has remained relatively healthy throughout his life even though he is a Type 1 diabetic, and he also recovered fully from a life-threatening 1994 automobile accident where he suffered a broken nose, rib, jaw and fingers, and lost four teeth.

Michaels, currently a final contestant on Donald Trump’s The Celebrity Apprentice, may be able to make it back to that show for the finale if in fact he avoids being fired in upcoming episodes that were taped last fall. The finale is May 23 in New York City. Doctors have asked Bret to not resume “normal activities” for 4-6 weeks, so an appearance on the show might be pushing his limits.

On the touring side, Michaels’ reps have postponed all appearances through May 21, but announced his summer tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd, which begins June 13, is still going ahead as scheduled.

Bret Michael’s management team has posted the following update on the Poison frontman’s condition as of Friday, April 30th.

Bret Michaels, who appears in People Magazine’s World Most Beautiful People of 2010 Issue this week and ironically in the Scoop section because of his Brain Hemorrhage, is being treated at Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. Barrow is among the world’s leading neurological centers and is the home of the Muhammed Ali Parkinson Center.

In the days following Mr. Michaels’ hospitalization, due to a subarachnoid hemorrhage, there was a lot of speculation as to where Mr. Michaels was being treated. Due to the severity of his life threatening condition, the instantaneous way in which the hemorrhage presented itself and respect for his family his location was not confirmed to the media. There is a seven to ten day period that is extremely critical in which multiple tests are conducted to detect the source of the bleeding.

“There is no doubt that Mr. Michaels condition is serious. We are treating the subarachnoid hemorrhage, which caused his severe cranial pain.” states Dr. Zabramski who has been a top neurosurgeon at Barrow Neurological Institute since 1986 and serves as the Chief of Cerebrovascular Surgery and Director of Clinical Neurosurgical Research at the center and is leading Michaels’ team. Zabramski continues, “Mr. Michaels will continue to undergo testing considering we have hit a few roadblocks including hyponatremia, severe cranial and back pain suffered from blood drainage, an emergency appendectomy performed a week earlier and a lifelong history of Type 1 Diabetes. However, Bret’s sheer will to live and fully recover is undeniable. He has an unbelievable fight in him and told me what kept him alive at the moment of the hemorrhage was that he did not want his family to wake up and see him lying unconscious in the middle of the floor. It was a combination of Bret’s fight to stay conscious during the hemorrhage and get to the emergency room, and the immediate medical attention provided by our staff at Barrow that enabled us to stabilize his condition.

At this time Barrow neurologists and neurosurgeons will be having a press conference at 12pm Tuesday May 4 to discuss and update his condition, treatment and prognosis in full detail. Those wishing to attend the press conference should arrive at Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center at 350 W. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85013 prior to noon on Tuesday.

Media should enter the hospital through the Marley Lobby, which is located on the northwest corner of Third Avenue and Thomas Road in Phoenix. Parking is available in the Third Avenue Parking Garage, which is located across the street from this lobby. All media will need to check in at the Marley Lobby doors with a hospital PR staff member. In addition, Bret’s Management team, struggling to keep their website afloat due to heavy traffic, expressed their thanks to all the fans as they are “overwhelmed with the amount of love and well wishes he is receiving.”

In addition, Road manager Janna Elias wrote that the band would be ready to resume their tour in a month, and that Bret would be ready for his May 26th concert in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Bret’s sister, Michelle Sychak had this comment on the U.S. radio show Todd N Tyler Radio Empire on Thursday,

“Things are definitely looking up. He’s still in ICU, he’s still critical but stable. He seems very coherent to me and like he knew what he was saying. (He) does sound like Bret. Truth be told, I think he’ll outlive us all. He’s not by any means out of the woods, but he is getting better every day.”
