Beatallica Grand Prize Contest Guitar Winner says Thanks!

October 13, 2008

Scott Hannah won the Grand Prize in our Beatallica contest, an autographed guitar. Here’s what he had to say, and a great pic of his son holding onto that guitar for dear life (Another rockstar in the making, eh?).

Greetings HOH,

I wanted to extend to you my thanks for the wonderful surprise I received in the mail the other day. I happened to be the grand prize winner of a Beatallica signed Dean ML X guitar from House of Hair and Beatallica.

I must admit, until last July, I had never heard of Beatallica. I had entered this contest hoping to win this guitar, regardless who had signed it. In July I received in the mail a copy of “Sgt. Hetfield’s Motorbreath Pub Band” and thought, okay this is all I won, and being a fan of both Metallica and the Beatles, I’ll give it a listen. I was blown away! You guys were awesome! Your album is smart, funny, and highly entertaining. I now have it in rotation on my iPod. Wishing to know more about your group, I visited your website and eventually found my way to Jeffrey James’s Beatallica Twist and Mosh Tour 2007. I was rewarded with an entertaining behind-the-scenes look at your band and European tour. It brought to mind the trips I made to Europe, and at this time of year, made me yearn for those big Bavarian beers!

I want you to know that this signed guitar is a prized item and will hold a place of honor in my collection (actually, it’s the only one in my collection, but you have to start somewhere.) I hope to hear more from your group, or better yet, see more of your group if you happen to make it out to Seattle to do a show. In the mean time, I’ll keep spinning your disc, singing your praises, and admiring my new Dean guitar – if I can prize it from my young son’s hands (see attached photo.) He intends to be rock star himself.

Cheers!
Scott Hannah
