The House of Hair will have staff swarming all through the crowds on Thursday and Friday during this year’s Rocklahoma. Some of them will be banging their heads too hard to see anything but the sky and the ground. But the rest of them will be looking for YOU! Why? We want you to “SHOW US YOUR HOH!” at the show! We’ll be looking for House of Hair diehards who are decked out in HOH t-shirts, holding signs, or any other visual way of showing your support for the House of Hair.
We’ll be choosing four lucky winners who will sit on the stage for Dokken on Thursday night and another four winners on Friday who will do the same with Night Ranger, so get your HOH T-shirts right now and get ready for some up close n’ personal action!

Details of Rocklahoma’s Fifth Day Announced

PRYOR, OK - Catch the Fever Music Festivals announced details to the added fifth day of Rocklahoma taking place Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Headlining Wednesday Night will be multi-platinum recording artist RATT, featuring original members Stephen Pearcy, Warren Demartini, Bobby Blotzer along with Robbie Crane and John Corabi. Also appearing on stage Wednesday Night will be Jackyl and Firehouse. General Manager of Catch the Fever Music Festivals Mark Nuessle said, “Having RATT, Jackyl and Firehouse appearing on the added day is a real bonus to our fans!”

Admission to Wednesdays’ performances is free to all people who have purchased three-day General Admission or V.I.P. tickets to Rocklahoma. On Wednesday only, Rocklahoma is offering free admission to all active members of the Armed Forces .

Nuessle went on to add, “By adding another day is our way of saying thank you to rock fans everywhere for making Rocklahoma one of the world’s most successful festivals”. Playing on the side stage that evening will be Lure, Down Tread, Jaded and local band Pedal Point.

Wednesday during the day, Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp takes over for over one hundred rock enthusiasts. Camp members will be able to jam with some of rocks’ top musicians. This one of a kind event will feature the following counselors: Gilby Clarke (Guns and Roses), Mark Hudson (Writer and Producer for Aerosmith), Eliot Easton (The Cars), Kip Winger (Winger), Mark Slaughter (Slaughter), David Ellefson (Megadeth), Chris Slade (AC/DC), Earl Slick (David Bowie/John Lennon), Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple). The Camp Counselors will be performing an All Star Jam just prior to Jackyl’s performance.

LEGENDARY GUITARIST ACE FREHLEY TO PLAY ROCKLAHOMA

PRYOR, OK—Founding member of one of Rock’s most popular bands KISS, Ace Frehley will make his presence felt with his electrifying guitar riffs on Sunday, July 13, 2008 at the Second Annual Rocklahoma in Pryor, Oklahoma.

In their effort to make Rocklahoma 2008 a memorable one for the fans, organizers of the event are excited about Frehley joining the event. General Manager of the Catch the Fever Music Festivals Mark Nuessle said, “Adding Ace Frehley to Rocklahoma makes everything complete!” Nuessle further added, “Ace Frehley is a perfect compliment to Rocklahoma!”

ROCKLAHOMA ADDS FIFTH DAY TO FESTIVAL

PRYOR, OK - Catch the Fever Music Festivals announced that due to the overwhelming response from members of the rock community and their fans, a fifth day has been added to Rocklahoma. Director of Operations of the Pryor Creek Music Festival Dave Giencke enthusiastically stated, “Rocklahoma is bringing to the world what cannot be found at any other festival in the world!”

Over 100 bands will be performing on three giant stages over the five days.

This year, we had an especially tough time picking a winner for our HUGE VIP Rocklahoma contest. After pouring through thousands of entries, we whittled it down to our top 50. Then we let the HOH staff start voting. We figured that any entry that got multiple votes would make it into the Top 5, and then we would decide from there. Well, it turns out that only one entry got a vote from every single judge! So, the winner is ……

Chris will be escorting his fiancee, Theresa, to the show and they couldn’t be happier. Winning Rocklahoma 08 Contest Entry

I’ve camped out for Queensryche tickets in sub 20 degree weather. I’ve traveled from West Virginia to Rumford, Maine to watch L.A. Guns play in front of 16 people. I skipped my high school prom to go see AC/DC. I’ve driven three hours in a blizzard to see Tesla. There are two K-Mart’s near where I live. I don’t refer to them by the towns that they are in. Instead one is the K-Mart that I found Twisted Sister’s Come Out and Play record at, the other is the K-Mart that I found Black N Blue’s Nasty Nasty album at. Once while waiting outside for a Faster Pussycat show me and one of their techs saw a funnel cloud forming in the distance. Rather than come up with an escape route, we came up with a set list the band could play acoustically if the club lost power. I’ve bought Bang Tango’s Psycho Cafe album seven times. One for me and six to give out for Christmas presents. I have four cats named Nikki, Tommy, Mick and Vince. I cried when Randy Castillo died. I’m not saying I’m the biggest metal or hard rock fan in the world. I truly believe the devotion this genre of music gets from its fans is a big reason why it is so special, why it will never go away and why an event like Rocklahoma can take place. I’m just a guy with a few good stories and a lot of great memories. That same L.A. Guns show I mentioned above, is where I met my fiance, who is also my best friend.

So I feel like I’m a pretty good example of how strong the power of music can be. I’ve led a blessed life thanks to this music and the incredible lineup of bands at Rocklahoma have helped build the soundtrack of my life. If Dee and the good folks at House of Hair select me as the winner of the Rocklahoma contest, I can promise you nobody will sing along louder, raise their fist higher or carry the banner of rock and metal with more pride than me….that’s the least I could do for something I owe that much to. Jesse Blaze Needs Your Vote!

If you’ve been watching MTV’s “Rock The Cradle” (Thursdays at 10pm Eastern/Pacific) you know that Dee Snider’s son Jesse Blaze Snider is the bomb! Last night, he rocked another ass-kickin’ performance with his cover of Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire”. Why a country song? Hell, we don’t know! We just know we liked it and that most of the judges did too, except for that super-witch Belinda Carlisle who called Jesse Blaze “fake punk”. No, Belinda, the Go-Go’s were fake punk! She also called him a “one trick pony”.
But, Daddy Dee as always has the last word. As Dee said last night, “One trick ponies don’t kick ass four weeks in a row!!”. However, Crosby Loggins (ugh!!) is untouchable this week so Jesse Blaze really needs your vote! Next week is another double elimination, so every vote counts!
