WAKE UP TO LOVE and STATION FAMILY FUND present FIFTH ANNIVERSARY RELIEF FUND CHARITY CONCERT
TOM SCHOLZ, AARON LEWIS, TWISTED SISTER, TESLA, STRYPER and others scheduled to perform with host DEE SNIDER, Monday, February 25, 2008
Tickets on sale this Friday, January 4, 2008
January 3, 2008 – Tom Scholz (Boston), Aaron Lewis (Staind), Tesla, Twisted Sister, Stryper and others, along with host Dee Snider are scheduled to perform Monday, February 25, 2008 at Dunkin Donut Center in Providence, Rhode Island at the Fifth Anniversay Relief Fund Charity Concert.
The charity event marks the fifth anniversary of Station Nightclub tragedy in Rhode Island, the fourth largest nightclub fire in U.S. history. 100 lives were lost, 200 others were seriously injured and 65 children lost one or both parents. Five years later, funds available for the survivors are woefully inadequate. Only 15 survivors of the fire qualified for Social Security benefits, and many are still unable to meet their monthly needs.
The Station Family Fund, founded by survivors, family members and community members affected by the fire and the Wake Up To Love Foundation founded by Tesla drummer Troy Luccketta are event organizers. While one hundred thousand dollars was raised in 2005 from a benefit concert featuring Tesla, Shinedown, Pat Travers and Carmine Appice, those funds are in desperate need of replenishing.
All proceeds from ticket sales and charity auctions benefit the Station Family Fund, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) charitable organization founded by survivors of the Station Nightclub fire. The Station Family Fund is committed to providing survivor relief, including costs of ongoing treatment and rehabilitation.
Additional artists scheduled to perform on February 25 include Carmine Appice’s SLAM, Eric Martin, Gary Hoey, Chicago drummer Danny Seraphine. Other artists will be announced over the next few weeks.
Organizers would like to acknowledge the incredible generosity of the Dunkin’ Donuts Center who has graciously donated the venue free of charge for the charity event as well as East Coast Lighting, WHJY and the many acts who are donating their time in putting together this event.
Tickets go on sale Friday, January 4, 2008 at Ticketmaster. Prices range from $41.00 to $61.00.

Thanks to ALL the HOH and Metal Fans who entered the Led Zeppelin contest!

GET THE LED OUT! Led Zepplin CD Collection Blowout!
The House of Hair wants to help you “get the Led out” this New Year with a double whammy from Led Zeppelin!
We’re giving away 45 Led Zep packages including 1) The Song Remains The Same – expanded and remastered soundtrack, and 2) Mothership, a greatest hits collection with tracks spanning all 8 of the band’s studio albums.
If you don’t own any Zeppelin music (what, are you from another planet??) – this is an essential start to your collection. If you do own a lot of Zeppelin music (like most true HOH fans) this completes your collection.

For more information about Led Zepplin, visit the band’s websites at:
BAND WEBSITE: LedZepplin.com
Band MySpace Page: ledzeppelin
Rhino’s official site: Led Zeppelin
LED ZEPPELIN – The Song Remains The Same
(EXPANDED & REMASTERED SOUNDTRACK)
When Led Zeppelin announced they would reunite for a November 2007 Ahmet Ertegun Tribute concert in London – in honor of the late Atlantic Records founder and benefiting the charitable Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund – about 20 million fans mobbed the website holding the official ticket lottery, and crashed the site.
While only the lucky few won admission to the rescheduled December show, every one of Led Zeppelin’s legions of fans can still experience them live, in peak form, via a deluxe 2-CD reissue of THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME (EXPANDED & REMASTERED SOUNDTRACK). Featuring music from their classic 1976 concert film, the set presents performances recorded at Zeppelin’s now historic three-night stand at Madison Square Garden in July of 1973. Originally released in ‘76, the soundtrack now features six additional songs.
On the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s web page regarding Led Zeppelin’s 1995 induction, they write, “Led Zeppelin’s sold-out concert tours became rituals of high-energy rock and roll theater. THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME attests to the group’s powerful and somewhat saturnalian appeal at the height of their popularity.”
That power surges through the 2-CD reissue’s fifteen songs, all remixed and remastered under the direct supervision of the band. Featured in the track listing are epic live performances of Led Zeppelin essentials including “Rock And Roll,” “Dazed And Confused,” “Stairway To Heaven” and “Whole Lotta Love.” The six bonus songs not included on the seminal 1976 release are: “Black Dog,” “Over the Hills and Far Away,” “Misty Mountain Hop,” “Since I’ve Been Loving You,” “The Ocean” and “Heartbreaker.”
With the added material and remastering, THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME (EXPANDED & REMASTERED SOUNDTRACK), “differs substantially from the original soundtrack released in 1976,” said Jimmy Page, “and highlights the technical prowess of Kevin Shirley, who worked with us on How The West Was Won. When it comes to THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME, the expansion of the DVD and soundtrack are as good as it gets on the Led Zeppelin wish list.” In addition to the 2-CD set and the expanded DVD, a 4-LP vinyl edition will also be available.
The package also boasts new liner notes by Academy Award®-winning director and former Rolling Stone editor Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous). Its release coincides with that of Mothership, the first-ever comprehensive 2-CD Led Zeppelin compilation.
LED ZEPPELIN – Mothership
After nearly forty years, Led Zeppelin continues to inspire generations with their groundbreaking blues-infused, guitar-driven rock ‘n’ roll. Arguably the biggest rock band in the world throughout their 12-year reign, they remain one of the most influential and innovative groups in music history. With over 200 million albums sold worldwide, their catalog is one of the most enduring bodies of musical composition to come out of the 20th century.
Atlantic Records/Rhino Entertainment honors the Rock & Rock Hall of Famers with the release of Mothership, a 24-track, two-CD comprehensive collection that spans their illustrious career. All eight of the band’s classic studio albums are represented here, with the tracks being personally selected by Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones. Mothership includes landmark songs such as “Whole Lotta Love,” “Immigrant Song,” “Kashmir,” “Rock And Roll,” “Dazed And Confused,” and “Stairway To Heaven.” The set will also include new liner notes by famed rock writer David Frick.
What do you win?
45 winners receive two (2) CDs: the Led Zep package including 1) The Song Remains The Same – expanded and remastered soundtrack, and 2) Mothership, a greatest hits collection with tracks spanning all 8 of the band’s studio albums.
CONTEST CLOSED, ENTRIES NO LONGER ACCEPTED! WINNERS ANNOUNCED!
