Here is Mike’s winning entry:
Let me create a short list of why I should and will be the winner- I named my 2 dogs Dave and Mustaine. I missed naming a child Dave, only cuz she was a girl. I once passed out trying to sing the middle bridge of “Liar” in one breath…while riding a stationary bike. I did a psychology class thesis on “The effects of broken relationships on human depresson” citing the song “In my darkest hour” as my main research. I still got an A. ‘Wake Up Dead” was the entrance music to my wedding reception. I believe Dave is the only human that could outfox the Predator. The only reason Mustaine hasn’t won the presidency is his taking pity on the other candidates and not running. He is what Willis was talking about. Honestly, I have spent days, weeks and months poring over every song they have recorded, from “So Far So Good So What” through the cover of “Anarchy in the UK”, trying to find the hints that will tell me where to find the Holy Grail, because Dave knows where it is. Dave Mustaine could beat Lemmy in an arm wrestling match. His quote in an old issue of Hit Parader ( I went to a Jehovah’s Witness school. They were like “Hey brother, can I borrow some paper? and I was like “F*** you! Get your own paper!”) proves that Dave transgresses religion. Finally (and this one is completely true) My rental UHaul broke down on a cross country trip from Cleveland to San Diego, in the desert outside Tucumcari New Mexico. After over heating, the van started smoking from the engine compartment, and a small fire started that eventually spread to the interior. I ran back and climbed in to save 3 things- my smokes, a 12 pack of beer and the cassette of “Rust in Peace”. How many other contestants have risked life and limb for Megadeth? That’s what I thought!

See Megadeth on their headlining tour and win the new CD “United Abominations”

The House of Hair and Roadrunner Records want to send you to see Megadeth LIVE on their headlining tour! No one puts on a show like Megadeth and we want you to experience the classics and the new songs from “United Abominations” in all their glory! The new CD finds MUSTAINE and the group–GLEN DROVER (guitar), SHAWN DROVER (drums) and JAMES LOMENZO (bass)–in their caustic metal glory with songs like the title track, “Amerikhastan” and the next single “Washington Is Next”. The album also features “A Tout le Monde,” now a duet with Lacuna Coil singer Christina Scabbia.

In a website posting to his fans on the night of the album’s release, MEGADETH’S founding singer/guitarist DAVE MUSTAINE said, “I want to tell you all how much I love you and how many times I have felt like I was going to explode in anticipation just watching you hear United Abominations for the first time.” In typical MUSTAINE style, he went on to say, “Your love for Megs has fired me up to make a record I love, beyond just about anything I have ever done. I would like to say a ‘lil prayer that each one of you would know how much I love you and appreciate your support…even the a**holes.”

How we choose the winner:

Only entries received by 7/18/07 will be considered. The HOH staff will choose the 25 qualifying winners. One of those qualifiers will be chosen as the grand prize winner. Entries will be judged on creativity, sincerity and who we think truly deserves this awesome prize!

Contest End Date:Wednesday, July 18th, 2007 at midnight.

MEGADETH ADDITIONAL CONTEST RULES

Grand Prize winner and guest will have to sign legal disclaimer. Major rules include:

1. Grand Prize winner and guest must be 21 or over – no exceptions! Faxed copies of driver’s licenses or other official ID will be required if you are picked as the winner. Grand Prize winner and guest will also need to supply social security number for tax purposes.



2. Grand Prize winner and guest must originate flights from the same airport within the Continental U.S.
Grand Prize winner and guest must be able to fly to the event and provide proper legal ID to the airlines.

3. Lodging is one (1) room, double occupancy. Hotel will be chosen by Roadrunner Records.

4. ALL GROUND TRANSPORTATION TO and FROM THE CHOSEN CONCERT CITY AIRPORT TO and FROM THE MEGADETH CONCERT AND THE HOTEL IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER. So, you must be able to rent a car and have a valid driver’s license. Airport and/or hotel shuttles and taxis will most likely be available as well.

5. All applicable local, state and federal laws apply.

6. Prize is non-transferable, non-substitutable and has NO cash value.
