TWISTED SISTER TO HEADLINE ROCKLAHOMA 2007!
April 20, 2007

April 20, 2007
PRYOR, OK — Today, heavy metal fans across the nation heard the news they’ve been hoping for from The House Of Hair nationally-syndicated radio host and Twisted Sister frontman, Dee Snider!
“It is my distinct pleasure to announce that Twisted Sister will once again be involved with a show that will go down in history. Twisted has just been confirmed as the headliner for the ROCKLAHOMA Festival on Sunday July 15th,” Snider said during his weekly radio show. “Rocklahoma will go down as one of the most momentous concerts of all time.”
Twisted Sister’s ROCKLAHOMA appearance is the band’s only announced North American show for 2007. Twisted Sister will perform full on with costume, make-up and all five original members - Dee Snider, Jay Jay French, Mark “The Animal” Mendoza, Eddie “Fingers” Ojeda and AJ Pero.
There are 22 House of Hair bands that will appear at ROCKLAHOMA, the largest rock festival of its kind to ever be organized.
To date, ROCKLAHOMA’s three-day line-up includes:
Friday July 13, 2007
Poison
Ratt
Quiet Riot
Slaughter
Y&T
White Lion
Saturday July 14, 2007
Vince Neil
Dokken
Winger
Skid Row
Warrant
Firehouse
Enuff Z Nuff
Faster Pussycat
Bulletboys
Bang Tango
Sunday July 15, 2007
TWISTED SISTER
Queensryche
Jackyl
Great White
LA Guns
Britny Fox
Steelheart
“When I tell you that this will be the most incredible line-up ever, you have to believe me. Check it out. Over three days, you’ll have the chance to see so many bands that your head might explode — like that dude in the Judas Priest video,” Snider said, making reference to the 1982 Judas Priest video for “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin.”
Twisted Sister is known for extravagant makeup and shock tactics, as well as for the rebellious mood of their heavy metal music. The band formed in New York in 1976 and played primarily in clubs. The 1984 release of the Twisted Sister’s third album, “Stay Hungry,” brought the band international fame. Videos for the album’s hit singles, “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Rock” ran constantly on MTV. “Stay Hungry” sold more than 2 million copies by the summer of ’85 and went on to sell more than 3 million copies in the following years. In late 1985, Twisted Sister released their fourth album, “Come Out and Play,” which went gold. Over a span of 30 years, the band released over a dozen albums, including “A Twisted Christmas” in 2006.
Although rumors have been circulating about whether or not band members might retire Twisted Sister, Snider recently put an end to those rumors by discussing ROCKLAHOMA.
“On the Twisted Sister retirement front: Ain’t happening,” he said. “We’re strappin’ on the spandex one more time.

1. Duane Mitzner
Gardner KS
989 the rock in Kansas city
I am writing for my husband. I have been married 20 years to
this man and every day of those twenty years I have heard Rob
Halford, whether it be in the form of Judas Priest, Fight or Halford.
My husband listens to Rob in some form all day everyday. He plays
drums in the garage after work to one of many Priest CD’s. He is truly
the biggest Halford fanatic I have ever seen or heard of. He knows
all the songs by heart. He is constantly telling me what an amazing
vocal range Rob has and how no one could ever compete with him. I
sometimes wonder if I married Duane (my husband) or Rob. Just kidding
but seriously, Judas Priest and Rob Halford have been a part of my
daily life for the last twenty years and I think my husband winning
something like this would be a great gift for his birthday which
happens to be July 29th. What else can I say, we have Priest
paraphernalia, Halford merchandise, we have it all, or at least all
that my husband knows exists, we even have to replace CD’s
periodically because he thinks he has played them out. So in closing
do me a favor, pick my husband Duane, he deserves it and he is one of
the few people I know who would truly appreciate it. The winnings
would be forever, treasured and it would make Duane happy. Thanks for
the chance to enter. Mindy
Rob’s response:
Thank you Mindy for your letter on behalf of Duane. Also, thank you for your support of Duane’s preference for real Metal music. Enjoy the new audio and video product and see you on tour in 2008.
Love,
The Metal God
2. Rachel Farrell
Camp Hill, PA
93.5 WTPA
I consider myself one of his biggest fans due to the fact
that Judas Priest was one of the first 5 Rock albums I ever listened
to. My one brother that is only 5 years older than me used to listen
to only a few rock albums and when I was about 7 or 8 let me start to
listen to them with him. Because of that, I am stuck on Heavy Metal
and Rock music. (specially 70’s and 80′) I also have watched just
about every interview up until the late 90’s (due to having children
and helping my husband run his own business, I don’t get to watch
much tv or listen to the radio anymore)! My biggest problem is your
music is not played that much in my area anymore unless I catch House
of Hair or retro weekends on the radio! I used to own several cd’s
and tapes of your music, but had a house fire 3 years ago and have
not had the money to replace the hundreds of tapes and cd’s that I
owned! Ok! Enough of the boo hoo’s! The point is that your voice is
one of the first of rock education that I had as a little girl
growing up in the 80’s and can’t get enough of your music and voice
along with a very selected others from that time period!
Rob’s response:
Hi Rachel:
Thank you for your support of my work with Priest. Please enjoy the new music and videos with your family, and I hope you make time to come out and enjoy a show in 2008.
Love,
The Metal God
3. James Swope
Lexington, Kentucky
WXZZ 103.3 Z-Rock 103
I am 45 years old now and Rob and Judas Priest have been the
predominant band in my life since then. Rob, to me, has always been
THE VOICE and frontman for what metal has always meant to me. From
listening to Sad Wings of Destiny over and over again to his solo
projects , he is THE Metal God. I have seen Rob and the Priest sixty-
four times over the years and I always had to travel because he has
never appeared in my hometown of Lexington, Kentucky. But the
anticipation and excitement of seeing him live never goes away. Thank
you Rob for still Defending the Faith and keeping me sane through the
years. You are the best and always will be!
Rob’s response:
Hi James:
Many thanks for your loyal support, and I trust you’ll put the new product to good use. I look forward to seeing you on tour in 2008 somewhere close to Lexington.
Best Regards,
The Metal God
4. David Nichols
Mexico, Missouri
96.7 KCMQ
Mr. Rob Halford, My name is David Nichols and I am a 43 year
old man who is undoubtedly your biggest fan. I have met no one who
enjoys listening to your voice and waits like I do to hear what you
have going on or coming up in the future. I respectfully Idolize you
and you definitely are” The Metal God”. Your voice is so powerful the
range just blows my mind, not to mention the heavy leather look that
I have loved ever since you first introduced it to me. I have
listened to your voice from the early “Rocka Rolla”, to the now
“Angels of Retribution”, and I loved your solo projects such as”Two,
Fight, and Halford. All Masterpieces! In 1984 I joined up with some
musicians and played Mississippi Nights where I saw Fight and didn’t
realize that a reporter was there from the St. Louis Post Dispatch
newspaper. The next day I was Awakened to find the reporter had
written in the paper, “Nichols’ voice which is powerful enough even
at its highest registers to be heard well above the den, is
particular reminiscent Of Priest’s, Rob Halford. Our band’s name was
Razorblaze. We played several songs from the Priest and I did
anything and everything to sound like , and look like the man I
admire and follow “Rob Halford”. I did in fact meet you once, at
Union Station. At that time you were touring with Fight and K-SHE 95
had interviewed you and you were signing autographs, but an
autograph wasn’t enough for me, brought my camera and that picture of
us is on my wall. I also find that you’re very intelligent and believe
you and support you in every way and would do just about anything to
meet and talk with you, musician to musician, as you are my Idol, and
I look up to you and most of all, I respect you. OBEY THE TRAFFIC
PATROL , AVOID GRIDLOCK, BREAK FOR ANIMALS, AND ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOUR
BURNING ON TURBO POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your No.# 1 Fan, David Nichols
Rob’s response:
Hi David:
Thank you for your comments and support of my work, and enjoy the new Halford and Fight Digital Packages. See you on tour in 2008.
Best Regards,
Rob Halford
5. Laurie Emerson
Biloxi, MS
KXOR
I have been Rob Halford’s biggest fan since Fight. I had
every Judas Priest CD as well as Fight and 2WO. I remember hearing
him for the first time and knew that he was one of those artists who
would be around forever as he always has his own style and never
compromises or conforms. When we knew that Hurricane Katrina was
going to directly hit Biloxi it was too late to evacuate so I put all
my CD’s in a trunk, in attic as that was the highest place in our
home. The rains kept coming down and after a while they came inside.
The wind was finishing off what the rain had left behind. We had to
go to the attic and I sat on top of my trunk holding on. The shingles
started to blow off and in came the rain. The trunk fell through the
floor and I went in after it. I held on until the rain started to
stop and when I opened the trunk just about everything had flooded
inside but there in perfect condition was my Fight! I felt so lucky
that I had saved it and would dive in again if I had to to save all
the CD’s which Rob Halford plays on. I am his biggest fan and at one
time was the most water logged fan as well!
Rob’s response:
Hi Laurie:
Thank you for your great story, and enjoy the new Halford and Fight Digital Packages this summer. You’ve got to make up for time lost. I hope I see you on tour next year.
Love,
The Metal God

Their harmonizations are LEGENDARY! They are the best duo
that I have ever heard and they have so much fun together! You can
actually tell that they love playing together! (Unlike most musicians
these days). They play for the love of the music and the fans! (NOT
the money!)
2. Mathew Brogan

Dear Dee, My first concert was Night Ranger (Great White
opened) in the summer of 1988 in Escanaba, Michigan when I was 17
years old. I grew up with a lot of Styx on the radio. Being a
Michiganian I was always a Nugent fan. I was thrilled when Damn
Yankees came on the scene. I always admired Tommy Shaw’s patience
with Dennis DeYoung. Jack Blades and Tommy Shaw coming together again
is way cool because they can still rock and reveal their roots. When
I was in my early teens I would mow lawns in the boondocks of Upper
Michigan next to Lake Superior with a Twisted Sister or Def Leppard
tape in my walkman. My father even let me put a Twisted Sister bumper
sticker on our family station wagon, he was more particular to Quiet
Riot (another one of my favorites). My daughter enjoys my hair metal
roots as I watch VH1 Classic Rock and listen to House of Hair every
Sunday before we go to church. Winning this CD would be another
thrill. Have a great day!
3. Barbara Strohm

From Night Ranger & Styx to the Damm Yankees I’ve listened
to them all. Can’t get enough of this duo in harmony. Both guys have
magical musical talent and are easy on the eyes.

I have had a crush on Tommy Shaw since I was 10 years old.
I’m 36 now. I grew up on the music of NIght Ranger and they are the
best. I totally love their first album together. Their voices sound
so awesome together. The harmonies are the best.
5. Jason Dahl

I am a big fan of the Damn Yankees. I liked Styx and Night
Ranger but always felt as if they were missing something. Then the
Damn Yankees came out and WOW! I’ll have to admit that I didn’t know
that Blades-Shaw were still doing music together or that they put out
a CD before this one. If anything I will go out and get the first
Blades-Shaw CD. Thanks
6. Mark Bower
Hornick IA
Z98 Sioux City, Ia
From Night Ranger to Styx and Damn Yankees these two guys
have been there to rock the free world. Vocally I don’t think there
are many that harmonize as good as they do. Tommy can play a mean axe
and Jack makes the bass boom! I would like to receive their CD
because I am a big fan of all three bands plus I almost got hit by
Nugent’s # 13 tennis shoe when Tommy and Jack were dragging him off
the stage while playing a concert in Sioux City, IA. while both were
with Damn Yankees!! Thanks Mark
7. John McCloud
Crystal MN
93X, KXXR
I’ve been a fan of Jack Blades when he was with Night Ranger
and saw him live at the North Dakota State Fair. Tommy is a great
singer and guitar player and is the driving force in Styx and can
play with anyone!!! When they got together for Damn Yankees with Ted
Nugent I thought that this was the great get together of talent to
ever form a band !!
8. Johnny Faser
Surprise AZ
93.3 KDKB
When I was a young and impressionable kid back in early
’80s, Styx was the rock ‘n’ roll “drug” that introduced me to louder
and harder things. I can still remember Tommy Shaw exploding onto the
stage in a power-chord frenzy during the opening song of Styx’s sold-
out “Paradise Theatre” show in Bismarck, ND. When I say, “exploded,”
I mean literally. Perhaps it was the lovely ladies in the front row
standing next to me, or Tommy’s down-to-the-floor stage move (or a
combination of both) that caused his pants to rip at the crotch! Now,
I’ve seen a lot of rockers break guitar strings on the first song,
but c’mon, a wardrobe emergency? Years later at the same venue, I
took my then girlfriend Suzie to see Tommy “tear it up” with Jack
Blades and Ted Nugent in Damn Yankees. What a night that was! Suzie
and I got married the following year, and we’re still together after
15 years. Our secret to love and happiness? Must be the metal! We
faithfully listen to the House of Hair each and every weekend in
Surprise, AZ on 93.3 KDKB. Now gimme that damn CD!
9. Brian David

I would like Shaw-Blades CD because I have all of Damn
Yankees CD’s. My favorite album was “Don’t Tread”. I am kinda excited
to hear what these guys can do without Ted and Michael.

I grew up listening to STYX and Night Ranger. Tommy Shaw is
one of the greatest singer and song writers of all times let alone a
kick ass guitar player. I also have the whole STYX cd collection and
Night Ranger collection plus all the Damn Yankees collection. This cd
would make a nice addition to my already great collection!

Are you kidding, the 80’s hair bands kicked ass!!!!!!!!!!! I
know I’m preaching to the choir. You have the best of two bands, and
they sound frickin wicked awesome! Haven’t heard the whole thing YET,
but what I have heard sounds great. You plannin any collaborations
there Dee???????????? Anyway, if you got an extra cd, toss it my way
- and I’ll CRANK IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harmony, Harmony, Harmony Great Vocals. Loved them
seperately in Night Ranger and Styx and together in Damn Yankees. Saw
them on VH1 Classics doing the new album. Fantastic Sound!

I burned through two cassettes and at least two cd’s of
their first Damn Yankees. I think they are an awesome collaboration
and should keep right on making the music.

I have loved both of these guys since their earlier days
with multiple bands! Tommy made Styx what it is and he is still
carrying the torch today. I have seen him live every tour since
Crystal Ball and he has never disappointed me! He still rocks as hard
as ever whether it be with Harvest, MsFunk, Styx, Damn Yankees or
acoustically with Jack! As for Jack he too never disappoints live and
I am waiting impatiently for Hole in the Sun to be released in the
USA so I can check out the new Night Ranger, and if we are lucky a
tour over here. I was planning to buy Influence when I saw them in
Indianapolis IN on April 4th but unfortunately Tommy was under the
weather so they had to cancel the whole week’s shows. I felt really
bad for him but I was so looking forward to this show. Acoustical
sets really show what the music was in its conception and they can
spotlight their musical talent in such a different way. I have
Hallucination from back in the early 90’s and it is an outstanding
piece of work. I really would love to have the new Influence cd so I
could take it to the next live show I catch them with and if I am
lucky get an autograph. I have introduced both of my children to
their music and I am grooming them to keep the rockin torch alive.
You know if it doesn’t rock and it ain’t metal, it’s crap. I will
listen every week for you to call my name and tell me I won!

I followed Tommy Shaw from Styx, And I followed Jack Blades
from Night Ranger. It was the utmost in music mastery when they
joined up with the axe master, Ted Nugent, in Damn Yankees. I have
seen them both every time they are in the Milwaukee area. Their music
is more than kick ass, it ascends one to a higher plain. Therefore if
this new cd is even one quarter of the quality of any of their
previous work then it is a must have. Then with this entry I WILL WIN
IT. So send it to me now so I can crank it up loud and proud.

I’ve been a fan of Tommy’s for over 30 years. Their two
voices TOGETHER are MAGIC. They had a winning combination with Damn
Yankees - as well as their 1995 solo effort, Hallucination (which is
amazing). They know how to pick the perfect tunes for their beautiful
harmonies….the list of tunes on Influence are GENIUS!!! I love Jack
and Night Ranger - but it’s Tommy (and Styx) who are #1 in my heart.
I’ve seen Styx approximately 135 times in my life…. and I am all
set to see them May 19, May 24, 25, 26 and June 1. The Shaw-Blades
show is a MUST for any fan of Jack or Tommy. I saw them in Atlantic
City in March - and it was remarkable! All that… and Tommy and Jack
are GREAT guys - in addition to their long-standing talent and
careers. Simply? THEY ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!

I have loved JACK BLADES & TOMMY SHAW since the mid to late
70’s. I grew up listening to them in STYX &NIGHT RANGER. I still have
two of STYX’s cassette tapes, but am sorry to report that I wore out
the NIGHT RANGER tape, and have not been able to replace it. I just
bought my 15 year old daughter one of DAMN YANKEES concert videos.
Every now and then she leaves it ungaurded,so I get to watch and
listen to it. She gets a bit testy when I forget to put it back. I
think it only fair that I be able to listen to the DAMN YANKEES video
as well. The NIGHT RANGER tape I had was SEVEN WISHES. I always
really liked MR. ROBOTO and KILL ROY from STYX. My girlfriends and I
thought JACK BLADES had wonderfully curly hair, because most of us
had straight hair. We thought TOMMY SHAW had a very, very nice ass.
What else do teenage girls have to talk about, except how nice guys
butts are. I ask you? TOMMY SHAW & JACK BLADES are the hottest
ever!!!!! Thank you for letting me have this chance to enter into
this contest for two of the greatest performers ever. Even if I don’t
win at least my opinion was heard! Thank you again!!

I have been a Tommy Shaw fan going back to his STYX days. I
am a big fan of House of Hair with Dee Snider and have never won
anything from your show before. I loved the Damn Yankees and would
like to hear what Tommy Shaw’s latest project sounds like. I am a
also a huge Twisted Sister Fan so please pick me, my IPod needs some
new good songs.

I just moved all by myself {no friends or family} over 2000
miles away from home and the thing I have to take me to a happier
time is music. And one of the bands that brings the happiest memory is
Damn Yankees. So I would love to have some good memories with this new CD.
